Summary

Problem statement- Conventional boom sprayers are extensively used in Broad Acres and Row Crop spraying, applying pesticides like insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, foliar feeds, biological stimulants and growth regulators.

The horizontal boom and nozzle arrangement makes use of nozzle type and pressure selection to determine the required flow rate (l/min) and desired droplet spectrum to achieve the intended results.

Nozzles are broadly designed to be of the flat fan spray pattern type, delivering 80 degree or 110 degree spray angle, overlapping spray patterns on the boom to ensure a uniform distribution of atomized spray over the target area.

The selection of the correct design nozzle delivering the required droplet spectrum is critical to achieve the desired outcomes without unduly risking drift or run off loss, causing contamination and potential damage to neighboring areas/crops.

In all cases the projection of the droplet to the target is brought about by the momentum of the droplet i.e.Mass x Velocity. Higher pressure will increase velocity, but reduce size (mass) and vice versa, thus limiting the ability of creating enough momentum to reach the target site.

The solution to obtaining maximum coverage is to modify the air flow in the spray projection zone by the spray speed and the environmental head wind.

This product has been scientifically developed over years and the final product patented and ready to be introduced to the market.

The total average deposition achieved by this product was 3,5%, whilst the boom section without the product only achieved 0,34% deposition. This means that this product curtain IMPROVED DEPOSITION 10-FOLD!

This points directly to a 10-FOLD DECREASE in OFF TARGET spray i.e. drift and soil deposition – it thus supports both better UPPER and UNDER leaf deposition.

Investor required:

The owner of the patent of this very unique product is involved in various other products/businesses and can therefore not introduce this to the agricultural markets in SA/Africa and other agricultural communities worldwide.

The patent owner will assist in the initial marketing documents/material and launch of the product.

Finances:

The owner of the patent requires R5 million and a 15% of the NP for 10 years (Neg).
