Fluid Application

UP Tyre Fluid is applied through the valve-stem once the valve-core has been removed. Rotation of the tyre then evenly distributes the fluid around the inner surface of the tyre.

Fluid In Action

When a leak occurs, internal air pressure and centrifugal force of the rotating tyre pushes UP Tyre Fluid into the aperture. Compound fibres are packed into the leak.

Permanent Seal

UP Tyre Fluid that reaches external tyre surface oxidizes on contact with the atmosphere resulting in a permanent seal that will last the life of the tyre. A leak that occurs while driving will seal instantly.

After Insertion

After inserting UP Tyre Fluid into the tyre and once the initial driving period has been attained for 10 kilometres, UP Tyre Fluid will be thoroughly distributed throughout the entire inner surface of the tyre-rim assembly. UP Tyre Fluid establishes a 2-3 mm coating which has the ability to remain suspended on the tyre-rim assembly's entire inner air cavity.

Can UP Tyre Fluid be used to repair an existing punture?

UP Tyre Fluid is a pressure stabilizing pre-treatment that should be applied to tyres to avoid damage occurring through underinflation, it can however be applied to tyres to seal and repair existing punctures.

Will UP Tyre Fluid cause wheel rims to rust?

Unlike many other tyre sealants, UP Tyre Fluid will not cause rust or corrode rims & steel belts. UP Tyre Fluid contains powerful anti-corrosion components that help keep your inner-rims safe from rust.

How does UP Tyre Fluid run tyres cooler?

Heat is your tyre's worst enemy. The hotter a tyre gets, the higher the risk of failure. A correctly inflated tyre will have lower roll resistance than if underinflated, the lower the

resistance, the lower the heat generated through friction and the cooler it will run.

In addition, UP Tyre Fluid assists with heat transfer from the tyre rubber which enables tyres to run approximately 10% cooler than a matched un-treated tyre.

Will UP Tyre Fluid increase the service life of the tyres?

Tyre porosity is a natural process of air migration through the tyre casing which is accelerated under higher temperatures. UP Tyre Fluid stabilizes air pressure by sealing these leaks as they occur. Avoiding driving on underinflated tyres, improves tyre service life through even tread wear, UP Tyre Fluid also cools and moistens tyre rubber which reduces cracking and casing deterioration.

How do I remove UP Tyre Fluid from my tyres?

UP Tyre Fluid will remain active for the legal life of your tyres. UP Tyre Fluid is water soluble and can be rinsed out of a de-mounted tyre with a low-pressure garden hose.

Will UP Tyre Fluid seal a valve stem as if it were a hole when the tyre is deflated?

A vehicle is standing still when a tyre is deflated manually.

When the tyre is stationary the UP Tyre Fluid remains as a coating on the inside tread area of the tyre and will not migrate towards the valve stem.

Can UP Tyre Fluid be used in my Car / Bakkie?

No – UP Tyre Fluid is not recommended to be used in your “On The Road” Bakkie or Car.

Should an object that caused a flat be removed from the tyre?

Yes – It is recommended that once you notice a bolt, pin or any object that normally causes a flat in an untreated tyre that you remove the object, rotate the wheel in order for UP Tyre Fluid to do its job and seal the tyre.
