Background and History

The Jacks Bagels franchise originated in Port Elizabeth in 2018. The brand started franchising in December 2020. Currently there are 16 stores country wide. Jacks Bagels Paarl was the 12th store to open on 16 April 2021.

We, as franchisees, currently own two stores: Stellenbosch (opened December 2020) and Paarl.

Reason for Sale

We are in the process of opening a third franchise store (also Stellenbosch).
Both of us (husband and wife) also work in other sector. Therefore, we have decided to focus more of our time and energy on our Stellenbosch stores. Also, fact that we have two young children makes travelling between Stellenbosch and Paarl a challenge.

Conclusion

Jacks Bagels is an emerging franchise with stores opening every few months. The affordability of the menu means that we reach a wide range of clientele. However, we are the only bagel franchise in South Africa which makes this an unique destination and experience.
