ChemDry Midlands is an owner run, franchised, carpet and upholstery cleaning business. The business has a team of six experienced employees (technicians). The owner’s wife controls the bookings and schedules the diary for bookings. There are two branded vehicles going out; with the owner heading up one team and a manager technician heading up the other. The carpets and upholstery are cleaned using ChemDry’s unique hot carbonating systems, removing 98% of allergens resulting in a deep fast-drying and healthy clean.
What Advertising/Marketing is carried out?
Weekly call backs are done. Monthly sms sent to previous years clients. Website and online and other social media like Facebook are utilized. Adverts are placed in local directories and magazines. Leaflets for specials are distributed. Banners are placed in strategic areas.
What competition exists?
Small “Pop and Ma” business’s come and go. ChemDry has a huge following with over 60% of the business repeats, 30% referrals and 10% new.

Further social media can be optimised. Cold calling and distribution of leaflets.
